Paula traveled to Austin recently to testify against state sales taxes on feminine hygiene products, and to announce a potential pilot program to equip women's restrooms with critical supplies at city facilities.

Council member Paula Blackmon, who said she didn’t have power restored in her home until Tuesday, spent at least two days at City Hall helping coordinate delivery of supplies from staff.
Paula has been, and will likely continue to be attacked with lies and misinformation by the secretly funded attack group known as "Keep Dallas Safe".
The secretly funded attack group known as "Keep Dallas Safe" was featured at City Hall "Stop the Steal" protest saying presidential election was fraud.
The Governor applauded the Dallas City Council when it chose to not make proposed cuts to its police department.
"Public safety is paramount to having a great city, and the men and women who wear the badge are valued members of our community."
Paula voted against a resolution that would have authorized a potential 8% property tax increase.
“Nobody wants to live in unsafe communities, and nobody is defunding anything,” she said. “We need to look at things differently.” Blackmon said that she and other council members have heard from residents that they want the $7 million to be spent on public safety.
“The public is counting on us to come together with our government partners to work side-by-side to distribute vaccines so we can eventually open our city.”
